TRAINING &  CAPACITY BUILDING

BUILD SKILLS
CAPACITY NOW.

I offer a range of capacity building services to meet diverse needs— from custom training and facilitation to practical resources designed for both specific teams and wider public use.

WHAT THIS INCLUDES

Raja Althaibani leading a group of people participating in a dance or movement activity inside a room with a thatched roof and wooden flooring. Mexico. Workshop.

From workshops and briefings to curricula, facilitation, resource design, and public education materials, this work helps clients strengthen knowledge, judgment, coordination, and practice under real-world conditions.

The Process

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.

    Context & Needs Assessment

I begin by identifying the actual operating context: the needs, real challenges, risks, skill gaps, workflows, priorities, and decision environments shaping your work.

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and half circle lines.

    Learning Objectives & Scope

Together, we define what the training should strengthen, who it is for, and what practical outcomes it should support—so the training is grounded in real practice, not generic content. Sessions are adapted as needed.

    Design for the Real World

I develop tailored sessions, workshops, and materials that are interactive, and fits your context, audience, and goals, combining practical guidance, applied frameworks, case-based learning, and tools people can actually use.

    Equip for Ongoing Use

The goal is not only knowledge transfer, but stronger judgment, confidence, coordination, and lasting capacity through follow up and ongoing mentorship.

CUSTOM TRAININGS & WORKSHOPS

TRAININGS & WORKSHOPS

A woman is giving a presentation in front of a yellow screen that reads 'Human Rights Video for Advocacy and as Evidence.' She is gesturing with her hands and standing behind a table with multiple laptops, microphones, and papers. The event appears to be a workshop or seminar, with the date August 31, 2022, and a logo that says 'Witness' and 'See it, Film it, Change it.'

CONVENINGS, HACKATHONS, FORUMS

From workshops and briefings to curricula, facilitation, resource design, and public education materials, this work helps clients strengthen knowledge, judgment, coordination, and practice under real-world conditions.

Below are the core areas of practice I use to help organizations, practitioners, and networks move beyond brittle legacy habits toward more resilient, credible, and adaptive ways of working.

Strategy, Foresight & Systems Analysis

I help organizations, networks, and practitioners make sense of shifting political, technological, and institutional conditions so they can act with stronger judgment, clearer priorities, and better coordination. This includes strategic analysis of risk, power, information environments, regional dynamics, governance trends, and emerging threats across media, human rights, justice, and public-interest ecosystems.

Information Integrity, Digital Evidence & Investigative Practice

I strengthen how organizations document, verify, interpret, and use information, especially audiovisual, digital, and open-source material, in ways that are credible, ethical, secure, and fit for real-world accountability, reporting, advocacy, and legal use. My work bridges digital evidence, OSINT, archives, journalism, and human rights documentation with deep contextual and regional expertise.

Operational Capacity, Training & Applied Implementation

I help teams, institutions, and grassroots networks build the practical systems, workflows, and internal capacity they need to operate effectively under pressure. This includes training, capacity building, tool integration, protocol design, and cross-functional coordination tailored to real operating environments rather than abstract best practice.

Human-Centered Innovation, AI Integration & Responsible Technology

I help organizations adopt and shape emerging technologies in ways that are ethical, context-aware, secure, and grounded in public-interest values. This includes AI-assisted models, open-source tools, and human-in-the-loop systems that strengthen rather than replace expertise, judgment, and accountability.
